WOLFBRIGADE
It has been in the news lately: wolves are advancing in the Netherlands. They enter the country from Germany and roam the Veluwe, among other places, in search of a tasty deer, a juicy leg of mutton, an inattentive runner or a fluffy lap dog. Forest rangers predict that a wolf pack will come this way next year from as far away as Sweden. It is expected to arrive in Maastricht on the weekend of June 7 and 8. This sinister Wolf Brigade is known for its aggressive sounds (Motörploited-crustpuk-on-speed with a very subtle, well-hidden Kiss riff here and there), dangerous biting behavior and a nihilistic character. Born thirty years ago as a Wolfpack, but since the year 2000 it has grown into a furious Wolf Brigade that writes socially critical songs about social inequality, abuse of power, political opportunism and the madness of war.
